Thorsminde is located on a narrow tongue of land that separates the rough North Sea from the peaceful inlet of Nissum Fjord.
This is a truly authentic west coast town. In the middle of town, you will find the sluice of Thorsminde Sluse which was originally established as a means to drain the inlet Nissum Fjord but these days, it is used to regulate the water level and the content of salt. This vivid fishing port is home to anything from new, modern vessels to the characteristic blue cutters.
You can buy fresh fish and equipment for your outdoor activities by the sluice. Thorsminde offers lots of good angling spots and the inlet is perfect for all kinds of water sports.
