Hvide Sande is a small seaport located on the tongue of land called Holmsland Klit between the North Sea and the inlet of Ringkøbing Fjord. The town and the harbour were established when both a chamber sluice and a drainage sluice were constructed and inaugurated in 1931. Amongst other things, this town is well-known for its water sports and fishing spots by the sea or the inlet. At the beach of Sydstranden, you can see the piece of art called “Vestled”, and a walk on the 800 metres long pier is also a wonderful experience. The small inlet harbour called “Tyskerhavnen” is also worth a visit.
