HIRTSHALS FYR

Located on the top of Stenbjerg, Hirtshals Fyr is a beautiful landmark for Hirtshals.
It was inaugurated in 1863 and was built during the period when Frederic VII was king. The monogram of the king adorns the tower right above the entrance door. Hirtshals Fyr is 35 metres tall and reaches a focal height of 57 metres. 144 steps take you to the top where you can enjoy a fantastic view of Skagerrak and Vendsyssel. During the main holiday season, the lighthouse is home to a small coffee house where you can buy home-made cakes.
