Stage 7

Stage 7 starts in Thyborøn and from here you continue your journey by taking the ferry to the tongue of Agger Tange. This journey takes 15 minutes, and you might spot seals and perhaps even some dolphins along the way.

On Agger Tange, your journey continues with a pretty ride along dunes and wetlands with a varied bird life on one side and the inlet of Krik Vig on the other side. Here you might also see a white-tailed eagle. In Agger, you can enjoy some arts, have an ice cream, eat lunch or rent a kayak and paddle around the inlet of Krik Vig. From Agger, you continue along the lake of Flade Sø to the lighthouse of Lodbjerg Fyr where you will automatically want to take a break. This lighthouse is located in the middle of the dune plantation of Lodbjerg Klitplantage but your route also takes you through the dune plantations of Hvidbjerg Klitplantage and Stenbjerg Klitplantage.

After Stenbjerg, the route offers a small detour to the landing area of Stenbjerg Landingsplads where you should make sure to stop and enjoy the iconic landscape with all the small, picturesque fisherman’s houses in the middle of the dunes. The last part of this stage takes you through the dune landscape to Vorupør where you can take a break before continuing with stage 8 or stay the night.

Jyllandsakvariet is a cosy and child-friendly aquarium featuring the sea life of the North Sea, touch tanks, an indoor beach, a treasure hunt and many other activities. On some days of the week, you can assist in feeding some of the animals. Jyllandsakvariet also offers guided tours, such as amber safaris, oyster safaris and seal safaris, and the exhibition called “Iskunsten” (ice arts) which is an impressive permanent exhibition of indoor ice sculptures located in a former cold store at the harbour of Thyborøn.
