Bunkermuseum Hanstholm is the largest fortification from WW II in Northern Europe. The area consists of the impressive museum bunker of Hanstholm, measuring no less than 2,500 m², and many of the rooms have been re-established so that you can easily imagine the life of the soldiers back then. The bunker is also home to several exciting special exhibitions. The gun battery was constructed in 1941 and, together with a similar gun battery located by Kristiansand in Norway, it was supposed to block the entry to Skagerrak and keep the English fleet away.
