BOVBJERG LIGHT- HOUSE

Bovbjerg Fyr is located majestically on the edge of the dramatic cliff of Bovbjerg Klint. The red lighthouse has been here since 1877 when it emitted its guiding light for the first time, much to the joy of all the sailors going down the ”Iron Coast”. 93 steps take you up to the lantern and the open area at the top offers an absolutely amazing view. The lighthouse itself is 26 metres tall and through its location on the cliff it reaches a focal height of 62 metres. The living room of the former lighthouse keeper Rude has been turned into a cosy coffee house. From Bovbjerg Fyr, you can follow panoramic route 409.
